Before
staining either white hardwood or red oak, a coat of wood conditioner should be applied to
achieve an even colored stain throughout the entire piece of moulding. When painting
white hardwood mouldings, use an interior latex primer. For final application, use
an interior oil based paint for best results. Sand lightly between coats.
